Last month and this month we are recognizing those who have had an amazing year in 2011. We are honoring them at the end of the year, of which at the end of this December session will announce the winner of the Camper of the Year, which will receive 6 months bootcamp for free, and a Camper of the Year 2011 Hoodie Sweatshirt.  Here are the first 3 Candidates for the coveted prize:

Camper of the Year Candidate #1

Mark Tucker

Mark embodies consistency.  He rarely misses a workout, and embraces every challenge.  Losing over 50 pounds is just one of the many accomplishments he has achieved.  Mark has been awarded the Black T-shirt Award for not only reaching amazing results, but he has also empowered others to do the same.  He is the model for consistency one minute, then the witty punch line producer the next.

Marks list of additional accomplishments include: 200 pound club Deadlift, hitting 245 on his first try, Wall of Fame member, Camper of the Month recipient, and is the spokesperson for our ABS class.  But what’s most impressive is the leadership role Mark has gained from what he has accomplished.  New campers, veteran campers, and even instructors appreciate Mark’s work ethic, down to business attitude when the gym boss beeps, and just plain, the way he carries himself in and out of class.  We all have and will continue to learn a lot from Mark’s example.

Camper of the Year Candidate #2

Paula Coates

Paula started off the year with a bang.  Being selected as one of the Biggest MOOsers with her husband Bill, Paula was the quiet, unsure, timid participant.  That was  quickly realized as a front for her true tenacity and determination.

Paula, with her husband Bill, won the Biggest MOOser competition, however that was only the beginning.  Paula continues to this day to progress and shrink before our eyes.  Still the quiet assassin, she uses her actions more than her words.  In her early days, it was her husband that pushed her beyond her limits, today that role has been reversed.  Paula continues to work hard on her food and is always looking for ways to continue her new supportive lifestyle.

During her Biggest MOOser journey, Paula lost 26 pounds, 3% body fat and 8 inches, but that was just the tip of the iceberg.  She has had continuous loss since the end of the competition in April when she easily could have gone back to her old habits.  She is the true definition of empowering herself to reach higher and achieve more.

Camper of the Year Candidate #3

Jess Buxton

Jess, has quite possibly had the greatest transformation of the year.  Jess started bootcamp, shy, timid, and completely unaware of her full capabilities.  One thing was certain however, right from the beginning: she knew what hard work was and wasn’t afraid of heavier weights, pushing her comfort zone; she put her entire trust in our program, and it has paid off big time.

Jess really accelerated her results upon taking the Metabolism Makeover Program and implementing the tools she learned from that program.  When she completed the Metabolism Makeover, she continued the principles she had learned and continued, and actually, accelerated her transformation.  She inspires by action, not by words.  She is always there to lend a helping hand and encourage others, but perhaps what she does better than anything is her business-like attitude each and every workout.

Jess has lost over 50 pounds, is a 300 pound deadlift club member, has lost 5% body fat and over 15 inches.  A member of our Sparta Project, Jess has been able to take her results to the next level with physical results as well as her strength which she has taken a real liking to.  Bootcamp, Sparta Project, and Warrior Strength and Conditioning have proven to be the successful combination for Jess.  When you combine her consistency with her work ethic, results are always inevitable.

Stay tuned, as we have a lot more Camper of the Year Candidates to come!
