Congratulations to October’s Superstars
Three campers this month are honored for their hard work, dedication, and consistency. We have one Black Tshirt winner, Cheryl Perry, one Camper of the Month in Jess Buxton. And our Youth Camp Superstar this month is Molly Moore.
Black Tshirt Winner
Cheryl Perry
Since starting Cheryl has always had determination, but lacked the confidence in her true abilities. She has achieved tremendous results joining with her daughter and together completed the Metabolism Makeover Program. It wasn’t until Cheryl started the Warrior Strength and Conditioning class that she began to realize how strong she really is. She defines the saying ‘Strong is the new Skinny’, because, weighing only about 130 pounds, she surprises me every class. Here are some numbers that help reinforce my point:
185 pound Deadlift for 6 reps
Barbell Push Press of 95 pounds for 4 reps
Double Kettlebell Box Squat with 2 52 pound kettlebells for 6 reps
Kettlebell Snatch at 35 pounds for 6 reps each arm
75 pound Overhead Squat for 8 reps
35 pound Turkish Get up for 2 consecutive reps
85 pound Cleans for 6 reps
and can flip a 475 pound tire 6 times without stopping
People who think lifting heavy makes you big and bulky should look to Cheryl as the spokesperson for how lifting heavy builds confidence, shrinks the waistline, and builds a strong lean body. Congratulations Cheryl, you are an inspiration to your fellow campers and an ideal example.
Camper of the Month
Jess Buxton
Jess has been on a tear since completing the Metabolism Makeover Program. She has reshaped herself and redefined her outlook. Nothing less than insane would accurately define her results. Jess has determination, dedication and consistency; a perfect recipe for success. Above all else Jess, never has any excuses or accepts anything but her best day in and day out. She has lost 47 pounds, over 13 inches, and 5% body fat.
Oh and her strength numbers? Here they are:
255 pound deadlift for 6 reps
110 pound Push press for 6 reps
95 pound Cleans for 6 reps
44 pound Kettlebell Snatch for 6 reps on each arm.
Youth Camp Superstar
Molly Moore
Molly has a ton of energy and is able to direct it at each task in camp with superb effort. Molly always takes on a new exercise or game with excitement, and that excitement is contagious. Molly has tremendous athletic ability and is first to always lend a helping hand to someone in need or with a little extra help with instruction.
Having a great attitude promotes a positive atmosphere in class, and above all else that is something that Molly does extremely well.
